Beside an Epic MegaGrant, BattleJuice Alchemist won a Best Game Award at WN Dev Contest '21, won „Versus Evil Victor“ at Devgamm '22, won an Emerging Talent Award at the World Trailer Awards '23, won Best Visual Art at DevGamm ‘23, won a “Best in Play” award at GDC 2024 and was an Indie Cup '22 finalist. Discription
Juice, the alchemist, is called to Caribou Creek to face spirits and demons pouring into the real world from a spiritual realm called the Crossroads. As your unique version of Juice you explore the procedurally generated wilderness that once was New England. Fight evil in classic action RPG isometric top down view and in close combat encounters. Find and craft items with game-changing affixes. Master BattleJuice Alchemist’s deck-building mechanics by arranging your compilation of flasks to suit your style of playing. Accentuate your character beyond character customization by using ritual magic as long-term buffs. Meet strange creatures from the Crossroads while the dark plot of BattleJuice Alchemist unravels.
Development Story
German independent game developer Alain Brunotte started working on BattleJuice Alchemist in 2018 part time. When Alain started the project, he did everything himself: from game design to programming, from concepts to all 2D and 3D art and even composing music. Alain recently expanded Alchemical Works into a team of amazing people. The prototype was made available as a Steam Playtest in 2021 and played by hundreds of players. BattleJuice Alchemist launched in Early Access in March 2024. For it’s 1.0 release it will also launch on Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
